"In Cadaqués there is a wide variety of beaches and coves which due to their beauty and uniqueness are unique in the whole Costa Brava."
One of the most characteristic elements of both beaches as of the coves are the sea pebbles and the rocks. The latter have very curious shapes. So much so that the Cadaqués themselves have us baptized, with animal names, those rocks that for its capricious shape reminded them of a certain one living being.
Hence the talk of the camel, the eagle or the turtle, referring to certain rocks of Cap de Creus. But this that’s not all, Salvador Dalí himself was inspired by one large rock, located in Cala Culleró, to create its famous picture the Great Masturbator.
However, the inspiration of Cap de Creus affected also other artists, as is the case of Antoni Pitxot, who ended up turning minerals into the leitmotif of the his work
Hiking along the coastline, mountain bike excursions through the Cap de Creus Natural Park, boat or kayak trips, scuba diving or snorkeling or practicing golf in Peralada, where you can also visit one of the largest and most modern wineries in the country. Visits to Porlligat, to the Sant Pere de Rodes monastery, to the Cap de Creus lighthouse, etc.
We will inform and advise you to make your stay at the Hotel Blaumar Cadaqués an unforgettable memory.
